I wrote this poem for my constant companion of 12 years. An amazing, intuitive entity. At times we communicated without me saying a word. Buck was a beautiful Brindle Boxer. This picture is of another beautiful Boxer. We had something special, he and I. I've had many dogs in my lifetime and loved them all, but none with the complete understanding, we had between us.
Gone for 8 years now, I consider myself choosen to be blessed, to have the pleasure of his company for 12 years.
I still miss him and can't wait to see him again.
My sweet friend you're gone and I miss you,
Your bright eyes and warm fuzzy face.
You stayed by my side for so many years,
I feel alone, now that you've left that space.
A big part of me is now missing,
Still your presence is ever so near,
I can't bear the thought of you dying,
While I still have so many years.
There should be a law made in heaven,
That humans can't outlive their pets,
Then you wouldn't be up there without me,
And it's not time for me to leave yet.
Awake my dear pet from your slumber,
One more walk to the park, we both know.
One more big furry hug, from the Mistress you love,
Then I promise, I'll let you go.
I wished you had stayed, a little longer,
But, I knew it was time for goodbys.
You're gone, but I won't forget you,
Till we meet, in the sweet by and by.

|Pets never really outlive their loving owners but they never really die in our hearts. I've always believed that pets enter our lives to help us better understand perfect love. God is perfect love and without our pets we have loved we could never enter heaven any more than we could without our other loved family members.|

|Bonnie, beautiful tribute to your wonderful pet. Boxer,s are very gentle and loving animals despite their outward appearance of fierceness. Most are pussy cats.|
