PENNIES FROM HEAVEN
This is a story of a dear friend
A story some may not believe
Loving father-in-law to the end
A mans passing so many grieve

Since this father passed away
His memory we will not forget
A man with few words to say
His death brought such regrets

Fishing trips he loved so much
Whether on the river or a lake
In all he did he had that touch
Making pancakes was his trait

Making things with his hands
As a craftsman he was swell
His talent with such demands
Making beautiful wishing wells

With six boys to pass on skills
A daughter the apple of his eye
Then one day a son was killed
This broke his heart till he died

She wants this world to know
He treated her like his little girl
They had grown so very close
Best father-in-law in the world

On every birthday in her hand
A penny he always gently laid
Even today his joke still stands
Though he`s now passed away

Still finding pennies out of place
Till she can almost hear him call
She feels a smile come on her face
As every Penny From Heaven falls
