For every darkness suppressed,
for every major sin that goes unresolved
and lies hidden inside -
a tear forms in the fabric of one's soul.
Left untended and in the dark,
the light is slowly diminished -
lest the breeze of healing comes.
Lord, I see so many turning away
from your gift of Love and putting
their Faith into things of no worth;
no value in your world...they dissolve into earth.
A new God arises from inside this society.
Money; green and greedy,
with a never-ending lust for power.
Society has lost its place, and we shame ourselves
with sin and disgraceful actions.
The Fathers eyes shed tears of blood,
put there by the pain of being unable to help
a wanton child - terrified;
body defiled with the torments
of abuse and self-blame.
A tear falls inside, into the sea and its tide
of emotions that wax in one's heart.
The sea, with this tear...
hears the sorrow, feels the fear of a heart
that's torn to pieces by time's winds.
And forgiveness through the leaves of the trees that
line this shore, lines one's spirit
with a salve to help us heal -
But the joy, the blessed joy we feel -
when we come into the sun, out of the rain.
There's a rainbow shining through,
on the other side of you -
The sun will always and forever shine again...
when you come out in the breeze beyond the pain.

"Healing Winds". It has done good to me already! It is striking my imagination and reparing, - "healing some wonds", It came to deliver and it is delivering. It came with a message that goes through the reader's heart. It is a good meal for the soul, and prods one's inner "I " as the words are read.

I have had a privileged reading. "Healing Winds" is a sublime piece of art.

I Salute you, Poet Deborah L. Kelly

My respect and admiration.
