Excellent write Jack,,I've never witnessed the actual burning of our Flag, I'm not sure what reaction I would have toward the idiot that was doing the nasty deed. Rip his head off would be my first reaction I'm afraid. But when I see some of the things that are going on these days,,,I seem to recall an old saying that went something like this: Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
I seem to be repeating that alot lately! God Bless our Troops, Our President, God Bless the USA,,,and her Allies! Lisa |

They may burn the flag.now...but will never be able to burn the spirit my friend....I agree with you....not that I am american but are a lover of God and we ALL must stand together hand in hand in front of Our Master one day

These folks have no values. They don't know what the word means, and have never been taught it by the people who were to give them a value model. Someone said 'you can't teach people about rungs in a ladder to sucessful living, if they do not know there is a ladder.
They are anul...and that's what they think with.
A heartfelt poem, certainly appreciated by me and many others.

| It seems to me that I heard sometime ago that it was against the law to destroy or desecrate the flag (U.S or Can.)? In my opinion if someone burns a flag of the country they live in it should be punishable by law as an act of treason against the country and citizens of the country. This is one act that makes me extra mad so I guess that's why these sick minded people do such things. They have no pride in their country and no respect for their fellow man, especially those brave people who fought and died for their freedom. We can't control what the poor uninformed idiots do in backwards countries but there certainly should be some laws to stop these sick minded people from performing such acts of treason in our country. It's well past time that such acts were punished by the full wrath of the law! |

I can understand how you feel. Seeing someone burn the flag of the country that you are protecting is sad. I hope everyone will just think first before they do anything; and also consider the ones who are being sent to war and walk in their shoes and feel for them. Take care everyone!
