I have a voice, I have a brain
Yet no one listens, they say Im insane.
I orate sounds that echo a point of view,
Unheard they scurry, passing you and you and you.
I twist my brain in knots of pain,
As I try in vain to be allowed to explain.
I bleed when Im cut,
I bruise when Im hit, just like you
Im human through and through and through.
Id drown in deep water,
Im a mother and a daughter, unrequited the two.
My heart still aches when I imagine your face,
Then it aches, before anger invades,
Sending sparks across my brain,
Sharp arrows pierce organs,
Like a needle in a vein.
I have a voice I have a brain
Yet no one listens
They say Im insane.
