Shadows In The Jungle

Darkness has faded,
Illumination has taken over,
Flares light the jungle,
As the shadows dance...

The hunter's gun glints,
In the pale moonlight,
Men stalk their prey
In the dancing shadows of the night...

I lay prone,
ready to give my life,
Men fighting men-
who's to say who is right?

Thinking of those I love,
As I creep through the night,
Longing for some action,
Who will give me the satisfaction?

Please God forgive me,
for what I'm about to do...
Looking for their eyes,
Wondering what I'll see...

Are they feeling the same fear as me?
Only time will tell-
I'm about to make my move...
time to take the lives,
Of these men I never knew-

Will they be mourned by their family?
Or will fate carve my name on a gravestone?
Ah, but the destiny of my fate,
Is my own...
