it's been a long hard winter
i've had 3 or 4 in a row
but this one's been tough
that much i know

it's not been the cold
on the outside
it's been the chill
on the inside
that's made me want ta' hide

my life's made me old
from the story it's told
all the love i've sold
or thrown away

hope Spring brings
a sunnier day
