I may not know
just what I believe
as far as 'Who'
or 'What'
I perceive
as ...
'God'
I do know that I'm
'praying' now-- for *Matthew, you
in that first-line-out of tanks,
and your birthday,
strangely, yes, today--
for you, indeed,
I
pray
And for all who "serve",
and all who live as
"Innocents"
within this land--
for you
whom Matthew
takes his stand
I feel this need
to plant a seed
of some
kind of a
pleading
"prayer"?
in my own way,
yes, I must
pray...
And, please--
whatever you,
my friends,
may think/believe,
Dove/Hawk,
each
and
all of you...
I ask
I ask if you
might
'pray'
in your way
too...?
this strange
and
more than
painful time
for all, and
most I do not know...
but...
for the Innocent,
please see? --
that this, no
no matter what we
think/believe
or feel/want
desperately
now
now
in these times so RAW!
no one I know
likes a WAR
but
for the
Innocent, this
plea?
each and every
family--
Yours
Ours
Iraqi
all
the
Innocent-- all
all
all!
as all
Go through
this
this
hell!
I ask, again
if we can we find
our way,
however we know
how to
Pray?
Myself, well, I write
notes
and talk and
hope
and need to
believe
that
someone, something
somewhere, somehow?!
somehow
listens
and
is
listening
now!
somehow,
a 'God'!
and that this
'God'
comes through
to drive
a way to
hope
and
more!
to hope and more
to them, for them--
that they
come home
alive!
that Innocents
survive!
and whatever, however
we can conceive
to
believe
I ask you Please?
let
us try?
let
us
try...

*Matthew is Patricia Boudreau's nephew...she is currently having computer problems, but, she is a wonderful friend/poet/writer, here at the Den (see link below)... and I wrote this the day the war began, after speaking with her. It was, coincidentally Matthew's 22nd birthday, makes one stop and think, a bit, you know? Thanks to all of you...

Micha,
Well done, well penned, and well spoken, I applaud your heart so caring and insightful indeed, and yes, all whispered prayers of the heart find their intended mark, for it is this one thing, I am assured of this day as fact.
peace,
