As the days get shorter and there is a lot of time on my hands,
driving thru these lonely highways
the memories of her love keeps coming my way,
I think of my younger days when I was so much in love
when my woman would sit beside me
holding my hands,
telling me the words I needed to hear,
but suddenly it happen I have fell asleep
for she was no longer sitting beside me
but laying on the ground with a smile on her face,
there was tears in my eyes to see what I have lost.
so I keep driving this lonely highway
hoping to capture what I have lost.
