You took my breath away…
Your countenance displays no guile.
And your warmth, no bonfire could engage.
I cherish the very dewdrops and grass you walk on.
You are the flowers, wind and sun that nourish my soul.

You took my breath away…
My heartstrings spiral toward eternity with a mandolin’s sweetness…
That has no brevity.
There is such freeness…
Under this here persimmon tree.
For you are my balladeer, strumming lightly on your guitar.

And you took my breath away…
Your tenderness stole water drops forevermore…
Forever more in one chord.

I surrender the I for We…
Though me remained steadfast.
Separate but equal affired with dreams and possibilities.
On emerald hills…
Aqua skies with pregnant clouds…
Standing on sun streaked glens.
You took my breath away.
