Be gentle with me Darling As you fill my heart with song A heart that has been lonely And waiting for too long Be gentle with me Darling As you hold with sweet caress A heart that is at one with you So full of happiness And you will see as time goes on And river flows to sea That sometimes things are meant to be With love that sets you free So be gentle with me Darling As we go along life's way Until the day, come what may I'll hope that you'll be mine.

great sentiment. Real feeling of longing for love, but resistance to it because of how it can hurt you. wonderful poem.
