A Rhyme to the Lonely

Stranger, if you feel alone,
with no joy to call your own,
Then please take the time
to read this rhyme from me...
When it's more than you can bear,
I know someone who's been there,
He can save your soul
and set your spirit free.
He grew up in a small town,
and the people put Him down:
"How can any good
come out of Nazareth?"
When He grew to be a man,
He did all the good Love can,
Still, they hated Him
and plotted for His death.
He did nothing that was wrong,
but it wasn't very long
Till one night they came
and bound this gentle man;
With no lawyer to stand by,
they condemned this man to die,
And His closest friends
then turned their backs and ran.
He was beaten, He was whipped,
He was mocked and He was stripped,
Then they crushed a crown of thorns
upon His brow;
Next, this angry murderous pack
placed a cross upon His back,
There was nothing left
to stop their hatred now.
With their evil plot complete,
nails ripped through His hands,
His feet,
And they hung His cross
where everyone could see;
So, accused and falsely tried,
there this man was crucified,
And He died that day
instead of you and me.
When the bill of Sin comes due,
it spells death for me and you,
But Christ paid the tab
when He died in our place;
For that day upon that tree,
Sin was judged for you and me,
And from that day on
we can be saved by grace.
If you've read this rhyme this far,
you know He cares how you are,
For He gave His life
to give you a new start...
He will blot out all your sin
if you'll only ask Him in,
He has PAID your dues ~
ask Jesus in your heart!
--Connie
"For we do not have a high priest
who cannot sympathize
with our weaknesses,
but one who has teen tempted
in all things
as we are,
yet without sin."
(Hebrews 4:15 NASB) |

Beautiful words..
Beautiful thoughts..
Gee.. I am at a loss of words..
I know there is a God..
But as I have said in the past..
We agree to disagree
on several issues.
Your heart is certainly in this..
That alone makes this shine. |
