Dealing With Details

It would take more than all winds combined
Tornadoes, hurricanes...all with a fierce whine
Still nothing could dry the tears hung out
For sadness engulfed in tears... I shout
Why are you gone? Why not take me?
Now I'm alone embraced in this sea
Of sadness, despair...pity this fool
Terrified of being just being...a tool
Of lonliness now no smiles to turn
The corners up...a kiss to burn
A tatoo of hope inside of these walls
Empty this gloom...hollow these halls
As shadows of fog broken with grays
No light to shine...gone are the days
The hope that has flown with wings in a sling
For ghosts are alone, love's kiss ...a sting
It bites to the bone...this pain never pales...
It soars with the moans then whispy it sails
Future...a question...Nothing to greet
Lonely souls sigh as hearts miss a beat
Chins dripping salt...liquids in pounds
Crying and streaming to pool on the ground
For now you have vanished and I am alone
Flown with the wind as hearts turn to stone
Tears of hot moisture burning the flesh
No tokens of love left here to mesh
Some recall of happiness...Jesus this pain
Marrying my tears in torrents it rains
Waiting for grace and praying I cry
Redeem all my tears and help them to dry

This one claws at your gut. I like that in a scrambling of words.

I am always moved by your poetry Susan. It has a quality that really touches me beneath the surface.

I used this pic on something I wrote - "Puddle Reflectons" I can really relate to this. Again, this went deep with pain and sadness.
