The darknees fades
Thoughts of you gone
It seems though that for which I longed
Was nothing more than travesty
How great it feels to know I'm free
Of the grasp you had on me
The truth did hurt, yet I'm still me
Somehow stronger in my mind
Feeling better all the time
Knowledge of self came at great cost
Though new things learned
are old things lost
I find myself feeling alive
The peace of mind for which I strived
is now with me deep in my mind
From this day forth, I may find
Trust in love can still exist
Too many days than I can list
have come and gone with too much fear
I can proudly say I've finally cleared
the obstacles in front of me
Now my life belongs to me!!!!
