Only for you Donegal with your rough and gentle ways that express the soul innocently exposed in open spaces .
Donegal the beautiful .

I fell for Donegal, dear old Donegal . You're the heartbeat soft and rare , the quiet one there, that's what you are to me, ever true and bountiful .

I write the words that have never been spoken of the travelling people who roam the hills over .
Brave Donegal it is you who makes them a home .

Surrounded by mountains and sea where the wild winds blow there is an ethereal glow that shines for all the kings of Ireland upon the Donegal throne.
