its a little ditty of a poem that i wrote to capture a feeling i had

I want to thank you
you picked me up when I felt down
your smiling laugh
your winking dare
the way you talked to me
in your attention did I bask
basking like a sun dragon, purring like a cat
as I saw right through your mask

I want to thank you
flying over the moon
did our conversations spin
spinning drunk from the
heady rush of butterfly flirtting
flitting from word to word,
smile to smile,
our own little bubble of insantity
in a sane gray world

I want to thank you
for staying by my side that night
standing in the starlight
waiting in the cold night
muttering comfortable nothings
humming incomplete songs

I want to thank all of you
bright sparks in my life
bringing sunshine to the darkest of my days.
