It's easy to talk while atop the waters
but wait until you're put in there
into the deep is where the trouble is
and that is when, you can compare
Because on the top you can see some things
there is no danger in the waters flow
but what's beneath is a different story
for a bit of everything is down below
One while everything was going so good
then all of a sudden, the sharks appeared
and in knowing their nature, panic took hold
as I watched each one as they neared
I was thrown in the waters like a piece of bait
for those problems were waiting for me
but what I didn't know, is that they had company
and it was so many, until I could't even see
I had no time to check it all out
for the winds had thrown me off course
too late to bail out, I was already in
and not even left time to feel remorse
So I found myself, swimming with the sharks
not a good day to take this dive
but even though I didn't choose this
test
I still must go on and complete the ride
There be some who will take the safe route
not even wanting to get their feet wet
they rather stand afar and avoid the troubles
and they can do it having no regrets
Can we smile through our rain filled troubles
and in the thunder say, to our souls it is well
will you give your backs to be smitten
well I say, only time will tell |
