Isolated from the world.
The only thing she ever felt was his fist.
In this palace of stone,
The fear was back in spades.

Ethereal one with the broken wings.
Tumbling from grace.
This withering angel…
This princess.

Suddenly, what seemed like forever, turned into mere seconds as recollection passed their faces.
The golden one was gone.

Not leaving with a bang…only a whisper.
Ashes, ashes…
They all fall down.

Maria, you forged a tale of the fall. Hurting and alone, denied freedom in chains.
But these chains will break soon and you will be free again. Let no one hold on to you are your heart like this. This poem is close to me, because I have written a song and have the tune for it from Nashville. It too is about a "Fallen Angel'" who is no longer a part of my life, but who I still miss terribly. Someone I know is so proud of you and your talent. I am also proud of you. Bill
