The first rose that you gave me
melted my heart to blood
red was the color
my tears were like a flood

I watched it on the second day.
It began to open up.
My love continued growing for you.
The rose symbolizing love.

The poetry that your wrote me
brought petals to my feet.
Scattered petals in my life
symbolized my spreading faith.

Petals on my bed
brought you closer into me.
For now two bodies become one
symbolizing, you my only one.

You my only one
as we completely make love.
The rose, your love, the poetry
my soulmate you've become.

"Your first rose you gave me
melted inside my heart,
So crimson was the color
that made my teardrops start."

Very gentle poem of love. Very nice. I loved it, or I wouldn't have fooled around with it. Bill Hugs
