“Sometime, Somewhere”
Sometimes at night I’ll lie awake
And gaze at the stars through my window.
And I’ll wonder, “Will I always be alone?
Is there no special someone just for me?”
And I’ll pray to God that I’m wrong.
Then, when I close my eyes I’ll see him
Standing beside a sparkling stream,
Smiling invitingly at me.
And I’ll rush across the sunny glade
To have him hold me in his strong arms.
His kiss cools my fever
And quenches my thirst.
His flowing love fills the hole in my heart.
As long as I’m with him, I’m not alone.
I bubble over with happiness.
Then I’ll awaken to find myself alone again.
I’ll cry, but relief will fill my heart.
Because I know that God heard me,
And that sometime, somewhere
I’ll find my special someone.
