and dreaming...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
weeping with you...
weeping those
ancient tears
tracing each
and
falling
as i reach
to hold your heart
to sleep...gently,
as an angel
sings...these hands fold,
feathering lightly
chasing sorrows
into air
listening for
this song of
an angel, yes!
an angel to soothe as
she sings of loneliness
and fear unbound--
at long last
free -- from the restless
chains of bleating demons' taunts
beating, haunting rhythms
of the past...
weeping with you, she...
she sings and
and singing with her,
i am grateful
for a moment's harmony,
grateful that those
eyes so full-- full enough to
weep at last
--
those dry, weary eyes
alive within a heart, laden
and so long waiting,
waiting to weep, to sleep
dream free...
weeping with you, and dreaming...
dreaming of
rest, of a place
to lay that weary soul
that heart so full
too full-- and all too
knowing... always,
always, so much seen
--
and now...a moment of heaven
unbound, free!
weeping with you...
i will
hold that heart
with trembling hands
gently holding fast, and
making smooth
this path...
watching, now...
watching as you sleep
knowing that for this
moment all enough
is well...
well within this
moment's
dream of peace
"weeping with you..." is a composition to make Erato proud, and Phoebus willing to try the ichor from the veins of the Author of "weeping with you...".
My respects to the Author of "weeping with you...".
michele,
I fear all I can offer in responce to this piece, is merely a thank-you, yet know that the simple dressed in plain, rides upon the wings of reverence as well! For yes, words planted and sown in such eloquence, and tenderness of heart.
I can't say it any better than Erin did, but for you, I'll add some extra exclamation points. !!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that enough? C'mon - I use 'em all up everytime I read your work.
Beautifully expressed as always Mi! Just stopping by and thought I'd see what you are up to. You've a keen ear for words and tempo. The poem leaves a longing feeling, a forlorn desire to be at peace, to finally find peace in a place where maybe it comes all too infrequently. Wonderful Mi!
:) Wow, I agree!! The flow and rhythym, the cadence and words, all create a shivery waterfall of lilting pain and a sense of fear of losing the victory over self/love...
One of your best, Micha mi. :)
grateful that those
weep at last--
those dry, weary eyes
and now...a moment of heaven
unbound, free!
