I don't know where these poems come from, but here's another for the book of children's poetry that I am voraciously working on. |

Riding on the School bus
Bump-edy, bump-edy, bump-edy, bump-edy,
klack-ity, klack-ity, klack;
it's the best ride on the school bus
when you're riding in the back!
The big, green, foamy, seats
go bouncey, bounce, squeak, squeak,
when I ride to school with my friends,
five days a week!
On Mondays, I bounce beside Bitany,
on the school bus that drives us to school.
And on Tuesdays I ride next to Ryan,
'cause he draws pictures that are really cool!
On Wednesdays, we all want our own seat
as the bus whirrs and churrs down the road,
and we all wiggle and giggle together
and it's off to school we go!
On Thursdays I sit with Sarah,
and always in the back,
because we like it when we bounce up and down,
and go bump-edy, bump-edy, klack!
On Fridays, Franklin's funny,
when the bus is flying fairly fast,
the funny, freckled, faces he makes,
cause the whole school bus to laugh!
I really love the bump-edy, bump-edy, bump-edy, bump-edy, klack,
and the bouncey, bouncey, squeaky, sqeak
of my bus seat in the back!
When the school bus brings me home on Friday,
and my riding has come to an end,
I just can't wait until Monday
so I can bounce, squeak, and bump-edy, bump,
on my way to school again!
