In the green meadows below, a breeze
softly blows
as if whispering a song through the air
sending a calmness to quiet the young spirit
of a young child that was fully aware
of the weeping willows as they swayed with grace
as though being moved by an unseen hand
this seem to capture the heart of this child
sprawled out on, God's blanket of land
across the fields the butterflies played
and the flowers were beckoning the sun
showing that spring was everywhere
it was like everything was having fun
The small brook of water flowed with a tempo
bringing such peace and solitude
what brought me here at this place and time
when so many things I try to elude
but somehow this day held a difference
I felt that God was near to me
for I sensed his presence all around
as far as my eyes could see
He showed me all the beauty in life
through the trees, flowers, every living thing
and then I knew, He loved me more
by sharing, the beauty of spring
Cupped beneath his hands, a small chin did rest
propped on elbows taking it all in
and whatever the problem he had that day
God brought them all to an end
