You were asleep, lost in your delusive reverie
While I was awake, building my own destiny
You were cursing all, infuriated by your life
While I was praying, festooned with delight
You were destroying, the love within you
While I was creating, the love amongst us
You were hopeless, losing faith in yourself
While I was hopeful of conquering myself
You were slothful, forever chagrined to labor
While I was working ceaselessly like the clock
You were sightless, blinded by your supreme ego
While I was gallantly smoldering myself from me
You were sowing malice, in the mortal’s soul
While I was planting, the seeds of compassion
You were lost, in the course of your covetousness
While I was sauntering in the path of moderation
You were miserable, though decked with prosperity
While I was smiling, even in the midst of deficiency
You were atheist, doubting the authenticity of god
While I was making the garland of heavenly trust
You were searching the key, to open the door of bliss
While I was serving the humanity, expecting nothing
But the only wish, of seeing them incessantly happy
And now I am very happy individual, and if you
Had done the things that I had done prior, then today
You also would have been as contented as me. But….
Alas! You never did it. Alas! You never did it.

As you sew so shell you reap! You have proven again that your thoughts are deep and your faith is strong enough to see you through this life, too bad your friend didn't choose the same path. Great write!

Bhuwan, Buddy, I would much rather be you than him. I am glad the sins of the elders don't fall on you. bill

Bravo. This really shows the contrasts between a destructive life and thinking and a productive life and postive thinking.
Well done.
