The nugget under the sands
Lay shallow in its grave
Its glitter lost in a myriad sparks
Where the sun made merry prisms of the waves
The eyes of those who sought the gold
Were dazzled by the shine
Uneasy lay the nugget
But it was left behind
Forever in the veil of sand
Illusion was its prison
While all above the sun struck waves
And made them merry prisms.

Sally, this is very good, but the nugget never knew it was dead. As a nugget it is in the full bloom of life. Bill
