What will the winds decide to blow
upon the brow of sorrows laden?
Will a night of shadows sword
be once more thrust upon this maiden?

In whose heart is carved a name
once written by her lover’s pen…
To which bares only room for one
a bitter loss to other men.

Once smiles danced upon her face
angelic as a field of flowers…
Now the lines seem to embrace
her tears that fall through lonely hours.

Restless for the touch of he
her passion builds within her frame…
Consumed as moments in a dream
that ever stokes this dying flame.

These memories caught from tangled past
have haunted her through every age…
Thus it is hope of future days
that so inspires her pen to page.

To write for him of love and loss
while all these feelings linger still…
For it’s the wounds of broken hearts
that leaves the scars that never heal.

I sometimes am led to share, that layers unfolding are what present power in beauty born of words, yet you I feel know this already! I applaud you on your depth which awes me sincerely! I see my friend Malachy looks in on you, that is grnad! I need not bring you to his attention then as I had so intended. His looking in on your work I would consider an honor indeed! For his eye be as keen and honed as his words of pen be as well! Melissa, your words sown in utter elegance and eloquence indeed do paint your heart as well! Of this I have no doubt! So I salute both the words so fair, as well as the heart so fair that spawned them. I retreat in bow sweeping and low...
