Is There Pain, left in your heart,
Like the empty void, within mine,
Am I still, in your thoughts,
As you're constantly, in my mind.

I wish not, to remember Our love,
As ashes in the past,
Nor as a dying ember,
Fading away fast.

Soon I'll Be Home,
Back where I belong,
Do tears flow,
When you're alone,
And there, I am not,
For you to hold.
With each breath I take,
Your kiss is moist upon my lips,
Oh, my love, You're so far away,
With sand flaying your skin at war,
The howling desert winds speak to me.

In the dead of so many solemn nights,
I've watched the splattered stars twinkling,
Against the stillness of the pale moon,
Feeling your love caressing my soul,
I watched and wait...and pray.

Tomorrow is not a promise,
Though I like To dream,
Holding you in my heart,
Oh, courageous soldier,
Come home soon to me.
