I walked down by the water today
It wasnít warm but it was pleasant
I watched the circles form across the little pond
And I realized Iím just one of those little circles
Nothing huge like a tidal wave, nothing
As still as the puddles left after the rain
Iím one of those circles that keep moving outward
Reaching out until they touch another
Where they form another shape and move on
Somehow I didnít feel quite so alone and useless
Knowing that all my life I move outward
Touching others as I go, creating new shapes and
Forms, like those little circles in the water
Formed by whatever touched them or moved them
Whatever it was, it made me feel much more
Vital in this pond we call our world

Hi Sue,
I am glad I got back to read this one,
Think this is one poem that readers will remember, long after the rest are forgotten.

This is a very profound poem. And each ripple is dependent on the other to get where they ultimately go. Bravo.

Wow. Uniquely beautiful, Sue. This was just brilliant. The analogy is peaceful and harmonious and allows the reader to drift with the breeze of nature.
