*April 9, 2003--directed more towards myself than anyone else.

Don't go burning bridges
behind life's dusty trails
it only causes sorrow
later on down the road.
At the time it may feel good
to widen that open gap
but the road goes in circles
you'll end up there again.
So when you have the itches
to flatten that old tire
think again before you go
you'll regret it later down the road.
Keep your many options open
remember life's dusty trails
run in circles, not ends--
so don't go burning bridges.
