Alone

Empty faces rushing by
Somewhere I hear a baby cry
A couple are fighting just up ahead
About something the other had said
I live in a world of my own
Why do I feel so alone

The stars shine, the wind blows free
The world moves on, except for me
A shooting star in the darkened skies
I watch it while a part of me dies
My life a blank page as I look on
Why do I feel so alone

The clock ticks, time races so fast
Nothing is forever, nothing will last
The song and dance of life is a dream
People laughing, I just want to scream
Standing still while the world moves on
Why do I feel so alone

Saddness engulfs me,it grips my soul
My heart is aching from the cold
Everyone racing to get some where
Lost in the shuffle, does anyone care
Darkness surrounds me, all light is gone
Why do I feel so alone

It is amazing some people dont read that this is a repost so hopefully this is not your current state of mind and things have gotten better for you.
Linda you are never alone when you have such a loving heart and so much to share and bring to people

I can feel your pain. Surely this will pass, hopefully sooner than later. It is a well written piece with much emotion.

As always Linda,
I love the way you can place,
your self thoughts, into another,
as actors do,
you bring that character, to life so well,
With you obvious Golden Pen.

Linda, love the poem. Quite an emotional write, my friend. You did an outstanding job with this. The world and time passes so quickly we never seem to get caught up.

Linda, aren't you a victim of circumstance?
and of course wrong choices? The dreams were impossible, because you made them while belonging to another. These will not stand and cannot be. My problem is the same. Living with someone and wanting another.

Woooo, Linda, this one is powerful and well expressed! I'm hoping that this poem is a result of your creativity, instead of your actual state of being! Either way, you've done a great Job!

I wish I could help you. I really do! But you control your life. I pray you make your decision soon, before your really does break. Be well. You are not unloved. You do know that?
