Leaving My World...

He came to me,
And sat in my chair,
Bidding me to follow him,
Into his world…
His world,
Where the sun shines
Down on steel and stone,
Where millions of people,
Live alone.
Where shadows hide,
In the corners,
Ready to creep forward,
And engulf the unwary…
Where life is filled with soft hands,
Untrusting hearts that leak love,
And kisses from moldy lips,
That leaves stains upon ones soul…
This was his world,
And he offered it to me,
Like He thought,
I would ever leave…
My world,
Lies on the field of yellow daises,
Trees so strong and true ,
A sky that blazes with stars
Which shine down,
And light the path
To my home…
My world,
Where men speak the truth,
Or do not speak at all,
Showing you by their lives,
Who they are…
How could he ask me,
To live a lie?
To never again see my sky,
The golden eagles and wolves,
Who roam in the night…
Ah sweet Knight,
Though my heart burns
With such a fierce love,
I shall never leave my world again-
Not even for you dear friend,
Not even for you…

| This is a wonderful piece. Reindeer don't belong in the "city" of lies with no sky. Not even for someone else's life. |
