When I think about my future
All I can see is you, This
perfect man that I've made up
A dream not yet come true
I can close my eyes
To see your view
But then I realize
It's no more than a dream for me
What I want yet not to be

I lay my head down
And I can dream of you
The way your lips part to smile
As your eyes hold true
I know the love inside you
Yearning to flow free
Tonite as you close your eyes
I ask you to love me

You're all I've ever wanted
Unbeknownst to you and I, But this
magical sensation
Is all I need to feel inside
A thousand nites I've cried
And only more tears shed
Just so I could realize
In all life I couldn't have you
For you're just inside my head

I lay my head down
And I can dream of you
The way your lips part to smile
As your eyes hold true
I know the love inside you
Yearning to flow free
Tonite as you close your eyes
I ask you to love me

The dreams come wide awake
They slip and slide at 5 past 1
You're here to cradle me gentle
As sleep now comes

I lay my head down
And I can dream of you
The way your lips part to smile
As your eyes hold true
I know the love inside you
Yearning to flow free
Tonite as you close your eyes
I ask you to love me

The dream of you is
Uncertain and unclear
I've dreamed you up inside
And kept you all too near

Keep me close at hand
Love me from inside
And maybe one of these days
Look me in the eyes

I lay my head down
And I can dream of you
The way your lips part to smile
As your eyes hold true
I know the love inside you
Yearning to flow free
Tonite as you close your eyes
I ask you to love me

I Salute You, Poet Maria Fiorille.

I have digested "A Not Quite Simple Dream". I read an inspiring composition.

Never rest Your pen; don't let Your quills dry.

If it weren't for fantasy, many women would be very disappointed. Keep seeing it the way you want it to be and it will happen. A tennant of goal setting. Bravo on a fine poem.
