November's Rain

November's Rain

I may not have walked
your path, yet I journeyed
to where you are,
felt the coldness of
November's rain
as thick as London's fog.

I may not have walked
by you, yet I saw
the place you stood,
eyes of grayish blue,
a weathered face,
a man so misunderstood.

I may not have walked
into your life, yet I felt
the empty eagerness
you held within your heart.
I offered you my love
from where I stood
so close, yet so far apart.

I may not have walked
the distance, yet I knew
how many miles between,
the road less traveled,
the one we both have seen.

Tracey,
Such beauty and emotion

Tracey,
Great title, and very touching write! It hits that spot deep inside.

"I many not have walked
the distance, yet I knew
how many miles between,
the road less traveled,
the one we both have seen."
This is my favorite stanza!

Hugs,
Maria

Beautiful verses, Tracey. Reminds me of someone here at the Den going through a rough patch of his own making. Bravo...insightful.
