this friend
says
it’s a beautiful day
rejoice
and be glad in it
and
I
say
okay I’ll try
see I never promise
right off the bat like that
because
well not a great liar
can’t say I Will when I don’t know I Can
now this friend’s
got
a lot of shit going on
more than me
right now
and She wakes up
and sees really cool things
like
lilac bushes
and green grass and pretty skies
and all that fresh air good stuff
and
I wake up
and see
a pile of laundry some clean some not
tangled at the foot of my bed
a dog mess
a job that says
Pay Attention Now or you’re Out
cloudy friggin cold skies
and weeds
where lilacs could be
had I planted any in the
two years
I’ve lived in this house
fine
I can do this
I can
appreciate
this
day
you know why
because I see
an
outpouring of caring
more beautiful
than any spring day
more breathtaking than any
grand
vista
more inspiring than
anything
else
in
the world
and I’m privy to it
I see it and feel it
and
friggin
eat it up
you know what
it
is
a
friggin beautiful day
with folks like you
see not so hard
rejoicing and all that crap
and
I can almost
be glad in it
ha

Jose,
To better tomorrows, grand sunsets and all! I propose a toast......to new days braided in sunlit splendor, to pale our yesterdays standing side by side.......

LOL...I hate 11 year cat fights....I don't like sand all over my white carpet...I don't like worms in my house... I don't like scrubbing hard boogers dried to the wall either...or the mystery wet spot on the carpet...BUT what --just WHAT would life be like without them :) HUGS Teresa

Yes, it's all a matter of perspective. Well said, Josie.

"You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day"

Josie, you are an amazing writer and a wonderful person. Peggy deserves all of this and so much more. You both win the supergirl award in accepting life and loving it anyway.
