A heart to call home,
this is the simplest hope
that I yearn for, by my soul
of wit and wanting; by the whimsy
of a weary roads terrible toll,
your caged heart beating
against Adam's prison is all I would know
What fruits of futility we crave
alongside those labors of love
The simple satisfaction of crystal cities
whose fragile promise offers insurmountable beauty
and affords truth by the temperance of need
The scope of our faculties is measured in whole
by the depth and consistency of phantoms
Illusory substances become the composing factor
in our hunger, our musing, and dreams

Fun, sometimes rowdy and always delightfully full of Australian colour. a collection of Australian Bush poems...
