Donít be that way, take those tattered wings
And wrap them protectively around your battered body
Gather those dirty feathers and put them behind you
You are an angel that deserves to fly not to cry
It may be womanís plight to suffer from birth
To death, Iím not sure I would argue that point
But we donít have to like it, to embrace it
We donít have to seek it out as some sort of punishment
For something you havenít even done and should
Not be punished for if you had
Life is for creating, discovering, bringing forth
Not demeaning ourselves and others for the pain
One may or may not believe she deserves
You are an angel, tattered wings and all
Lift your face and sing out for the love of life
For the happiness you deserve
Not the pain you may thing you have to find
And never, ever believe you enjoy the pain
Itís a lie you are telling yourself, and angels
Well, angels donít need to lie

|Angel don't need to lie, but they make poor choices just like the rest of us, and some never are able to change. Bill|
