I am a sarcastic tomboy who loves adventure.
I wonder if I’ll ever write a novel.
I hear a thousand voices calling me in the wind.
I see a creature with eyes that shine like the sun.
I want to chase it across the pages of my imagination.

I pretend I am a movie star.
I feel the wind under my wings, as I drift with the thousands of voices.
I touch the peaceful feathers of the creature.
I worry he’ll vanish into the extinction of a developing adult imagination.
I cry as he drifts away.
I am a sarcastic tomboy who loves adventure.

I understand that all imaginations change.
I say it’s only our choice to change them.
I dream about owning a teal Volkswagon.
I try to fit in with reality.
I hope I meet that creature in my dreams once more.
