a sign
speed limit 10
white black letters
screaming
slow down
clouds moving racing
make me feel the earth
the rock on which I stand shift
fast
turning on an axis I cannot fathom
slow down
children growing
in the blink of an eye
pants shrinking attitudes swelling
slow down
and
I see it all
slip through my fingers
sand
falling
no stopping
faster and farther
away from my grip
which I never really had
could never really control
slippery this
time
and
I
am
screaming
frantic
slow
down
stop here
grab this second
it
is
all
there is
me you here now

So many times we don't value the moment we're in. I've been watching my best friend's life literally slip through his fingers, much as the sand you speak of. How I wish I could turn back the clock.

Control. good example of why we should try to keep it as much as possible. When I see that sign, I slow down and try, at least try. Good expression.
