can I just say this
I have to
need to
there is no other art form
I mean take a look around
at all this stuff
it is mind boggling
heart rending
joy leaping amazing
what is wrong with the
where are they
stuck in a theatre some place
no doubt
watching videos no doubt
afraid of
why does this word “poetry”
have such a bad rap
me poet
I write it
am proud of it
love it
live for it
could never think of not doing it
can’t wait every single solitary day
to see what someone has to say
love here
hate here
sadness here
romance o the romance here
joy here
inspiration here
big ole political fights here
all here
all right here for the taking
expanding the mind
enlarging the horizon
making me see the world
grasp it know it love it
General Public
wake up
smell the poetry
out loud

I see what you mean, totally. Personally I feel as the world develops more and people become bored with what they've stuck to, they will realise what as well touches them other than just music (*althoug music is an extraordinary thing that does touch one's soul*), but they will see that words can evade them and become who they are. It's a wonderful thing and I love this poem for it!!

Josie, I understand your criticism. To me 3/4 of the population is brain dead anyway.
Let them have their toys. We have a lasting experience for the rest of our lives. You are so right in this. But we have enough who love the poetry to feed our need to share. You are such an excellent poet. Bill
