why i don't like living in tornado alley...

the sky turns black, black, and the air crackles with impending doom...
my heart turns to stone as i hear the thunder boom.

i hear of severe weather, and chill bumps race up my spine,
and i wonder if everything will turn out just fine.

i fear for my safety; there's no "hidey-hole" to go to,
and i wonder what in the world am i going to do.

livin' in tornado alley has turned me into a first class scaredy-cat,
and i don't like always feeling like that.

if there were basements, i'd feel a lot safer than i do now,
and i wouldn't be sproutin' feathers or having a jersey cow!

i have lived here in north-central texas for four years,
and you'd think my livin' here that long would reduce the fears.

but, NOOOO..i go through this every spring season,
and trying to figure out why there's no basements is one thing i still reason!

so BOOOO to severe weather; the weather here in texas SUCKS the big one,
being afraid of storms all the time sure isn't any fun!

*~*~*~*OH, HOW I HATE WILD TEXAS WEATHER!!*~*~* :(

I hope you had a lovely Easter. I am sorry I am not being as supportive as I should be. In fact it may be some time before you may hear from me. Hopefully one day I may return to AD. At the moment I am still searching for peace and quiet so essential to writing. Your friend Victor

Wanna trade? In Ohio, we have the tornadoes as well...plus rain storms, snowfalls, chaotic temperature ranges....

Here, we think of Mother Nature with a remote-control clicker. Don't like the weather in Ohio? Wait just a moment; it'll change.

**click** Rain
**click** Fog
**click** High temps
**click** Blizzards

Karen, you or so very descriptive in relating to us this story about the tornado season. I can see how personally involved your feelings are. I have never been in a tornado, just a few earthqakes. I guess a tornado can be much more frightening. Very well done my Lady. Hugs bill
