Daughter of Zeus rides the eloquent dawn
on midnight stallions to an apocalyptic moon
relaying without hesitation all of her desires
with her long hair flowing in constellations
as Venus watches inspired in the distance
with her mouth agape and eyes wide open

She returns with dawn in synchronous time
to wash the sleeping valleys with a red kiss
and to spread the scent of jasmine in the air
married with the fresh salt of a pacific storm
with colors of songs and aromas of smiles
to coax soft memories from their rigid perch

She opens her arms and embraces the world
teaching all of the exotic birds the art of flight
while waiting for the white gardenias to bloom
in the innocent splendor of untouched virgins,
and in anticipation of pink roses and carnations
for the early spring to wear as badges of honor

The daughter of Zeus caresses the morning
as she brings with her the secrets of heaven
whispered from the lips of sensuous angels
tucked beneath the satin of her folded wings
and disperses them in the breeze for lovers
in the form of a rainbow in a golden sunrise

She reclines next to me in remarkable dreams
while in the beauteous nudity of eloquent youth
while my eyes drink the nectar of her essence
She weaves her magical spells of enchantment
and without even flinching an eye as I kiss her
or whenever I adoringly paint her with my body

When she leaves she takes with her the horizon
and uncurls it turning it inside out like the sun
and I pronounce it as a star for her evenings
to shine warmly upon us as we melt into one
exchanging cells in an unforgettable embrace
and transferring our energies in a tireless ritual

I worship her while becoming the rings of Saturn
to revolve around her every minute of the day
like separate entities in an endless universe
swept away in Magellanic clouds of ecstasy
accompanied by the symphony of bright stars
and a chorus of angelic voices in the crescendo

The daughter of Zeus has already claimed me
and I, in turn, submit to her deep, fond wishes
and without my asking for anything in return
except for the chance to perpetuate her love
as I track her with beating heart and keen eye
to always be there the moment she awakens

Such sweet words to coax a heart
or perhaps to merely coat it
Simonize her lovely emotions
so smoothly she won't know it

You're a smoosher, a Mr. Slick
a true romantic at heart
You've written well your thoughts
and completely played your part

What love spurns you on
I have to sit and wonder
What doth eat at your soul
what powerful inner hunger?

What e'er it is you call it
All I know is it's a stranger
for when I once gave into it
I knew not of the danger

One man once wrote such things
in perfect rhymed poetry
Expresed eternal devotion
and said he'd always love me

But somehow the journey
from what was and was intended
was twisted and winding
as it led him to what's ended

Now all I've got are dreams
and memories of what could have been
I'm left holding promises
that were never meant to mend

So lucky is this girl
the one to whom you write
Happy she must truly be
to look thus in your sight

Congratulations to her
the one that inspired this poet
Congratulations to you
for knowing that you know it!

...Erato must be proud of this "Daughter of Zeus"
despite the fact that she is taking Erato´s

job... considering that Phoebus is an

admirer of this particular daughter, all

turns back to poetry, and brings me back from the Olympus to say:

I have read a Paean in a Poem dedicated to a deserving and -unique Daughter of THE GREAT POET!

This poem, "Daughter of Zeus" is a collector´s masterpiece.

I Salute the Author of "Daughter of Zeus".

Amor, this is a very worthy dedication to a lovey Lady. You know what sets your poetry off from most others? It is delivered with great professional class and style. That is great. I can imagine what your journey has been like to arrive at this point in life. But you will still grow and grow. Bill
