To A Friend.. I hope! Repost for this friend.. Hope he understnds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I fear for you at times..
Always pretending
life is fine..
I hear your pain
in your laugh..
Do you think
you can fool..
The one
who fools you?
But you laugh..
And I laugh too.
Knowing it's a lie..
Knowing the pain
you try to escape..
Knowing it is too late
to undo what has already
been learned..
Smile and laugh
or crash and burn.
I feel your needs..
Your need to hide..
To feel in control..
To fool everyone..
Your successful goal..
I want to protect you..
Make this time of pain
fly away..
But I am just a friend..
Who knows how you feel..
Who can hear the pain
through the laughter..
Even as I laugh with you..
Because it is our way..
To survive or die..
It is too late to undo
what has already
been learned..
Smile and laugh..
or crash and burn.
No tears..
Just smile..
As we cry inside..
Wish I could
take your pain..
I would laugh it away..
I would gladly do
this for you my friend..
To save you from the
fate I fear..
That one day
your laughs
Will turn
into tears..
Then I will know ..
It is too late
to undo what has been learned..
Too late to save you..
as you crash and burn.
~Erica
Erica ... this is beautiful. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is let our loved ones live out the decisions they have made in their lives. You did a spectacular write.
This was very moving, I know this feeling of not knowing what to do, hang back, or say something, I think you must be a very good friend to understand and want to help him, I hope he does let you...
This one hit close to me,
Excellent and so caring,
