tells how i am inside and why i write the way i do. i wrote this because i got "trolled" again, and i am angry.

this will probably be my last poem here at the den. thanks for all the reviews you have given me on my poetry; that means much more to me than you will ever know! :)

i will continue to do stories and articles; but my poetry days are overwith. i hope you understand.

i am just a person with feelings inside;
when i write, i really have nothing to hide.

i write the way i do to help with feelings i may be having that day,
and when i write, i feel it helps me in a lot of ways.

some of my writes are angry, others full of joy or hope,
it is my way of dealing with life's challenges, helps me to cope.

i write many genres: children's, inspirational, teens, drama, too..
i want to share my world with each and every one of you.

i write from the heart, my inner soul,
and my feelings and wishes are what i want to extoll.

sure, you all may not like what i write,
but i try to be fair; to be cruel is wrong, it really isn't right!

if i don't like something, i will say my piece,
but i will try to keep from causing you any grief.

at times, i have been nasty, that is now in the past,
what i have said in the past leaves me feeling ashamed and aghast.

i am sorry if i may hurt you; please forgive me,
and if you will give me a chance, a good friend is what i will try to be.

i try to be nice and fair in my reviews,
but i will not tolerate hatred or blatant abuse!

if you abuse me, you WILL be reported, don't say i didn't warn you...
i'll fight back, that's what i will do!

people have left here because of past abuse here at the den,
and i haven't seen so much hatred since i can't remember when.

if you feel you'll get rid of me, i am here to share...
you WON'T; and if you mess with me, i'll be your worst nightmare!

My Bio starts with these words:-

"Like fragile flowers, poets dare to open their delicate, innermost parts to the world. But what a sad place it would be without flowers."

Flowers not only bring beauty but are the wellsprings of life itself as they give birth to the future of their kind - BUT only if they dare to be brave and open their delicate, and vulnerable, innermost parts to the World.

It is easy to trample a flower BUT they will bloom again and again. It is what they do - it is who they are.

And remember the more ... ahem! "manure" ... you sling at a flower - the faster and better it grows!! :-))

Don't stop blooming Karen.

Hi Karen:
The great Russian writer, Boris Pasternak, once expressed the opinion that "A poet is not an author, but - the subject of a lyric, facing the world in the first person." -*Safe Conduct* (1931). You seem to me to fit that description, Karen. Don't stop expressing youself through creative writing. For further views on that subject, click on to one of my articles on this site titled, *Woes Of A Wannabe Poet*.

Finally, here's a quote from a French poet which may help to sustain your creative spirit: ""O poets, you have always been proud; be more so, become disdainful." -Stephan Mallarme, *Prosesde jeunesse* So, hang in there, lass! You've got nothing to lose but insensitive critics!

Dont run off Karen, we need all you great writers in here. From what I see there seems to be some in here that are just starved for attention, and as long as they can get their fill of it, it isnt going to stop. We dont have to reply to reviews. Hang in there Karen. Water off a ducks back my friend.
