I read somewhere, "Love is always sorrow."

I go with you in the shadow of the moon.
There I aim sweet words at your heart,
And very soon rapture engulfs us
Like song woven out of dream, like light o'erflowing,
While above us, blue clusters of stars
Smile down upon us 'til at last we feel
The peace of heaven in the glory of love
fulfilled.
You whisper and say, I love you,
And I smile at you by way of the fading stars.
I lay my hand upon your breast,
And feel the rythmic music of your heart, And wonder at your loveliness.
We fall asleep, And do not know
That time shall mock this night,
And leave us defeated with only a memory- And silent tears.

Ronald, The reality that set in after "The act" as you put it, was tears. And lust is as far removed from love as disbelief is from
faith.

Lust is one of the greatest pleasure centers in the brain. Too bad cold reality sets in after the act.

Oh, i loved this, the ending was great

"We fall asleep, And do not know
That time shall mock this night,
And leave us defeated with only a memory- And silent tears. "

Sweet piece, well done :)
