VERSE ONE
the air is sticky and so slow so slow
humidity presses down presses down
its gettin hard to breathe oh dont you know
its fixin to come some rain gon to drown
VERSE TWO
its not just the storm gon get me get me
gon drink my troubles away far away
dont care if the storm leaves me in debris
my hearts breakin apart this cloudy day
REFRAIN
bills wife leavin laid off what else what else
everthins piled top my head my head
im just a dangfool ashamed of myself
it might be better off if i was dead
VERSE THREE
hurricanes comin oh so fast so fast
the wind risin waves crash crash on the shore
i dont know how much longer i can last
waters comin in underneath my door
BRIDGE
dont wanna die in this watery grave
but my broken heart cant see no way out
how i wish i were courageous and brave
instead im a coward i have no doubt
REFRAIN
bills wife leavin laid off what else what else
everthins piled top my head my head
im just a dangfool ashamed of myself
it might be better off if i was dead
VERSE FOUR
wake up see an angel of light of light
seems ive been given a reprieve reprieve
God saved me in me He saw somethin bright
through all my troubles He aint gonna leave
SECOND REFRAIN
through all my troubles Hes there oh Hes there
He aint never gon leave my side my side
all i have to do is call out in prayer
Hes my refuge in Jesus i can hide
REPEAT SECOND REFRAIN
TAG
all i have to do is call out in prayer
Hes my refuge in Jesus i can hide
