I used to wonder if people over the age of 50 still...did it...

Ride a bike
Eat a cone
Laugh out loud
Throw a bone
Jump in the air
Spin without a care
Have intercourse where?
Talking, I mean, how dare
You question my motives
To make this verse smutty
I know that they "do it"
Cause I'm 50 and still gettin' "lucky"

-dedicated to my hubby of 31 years...

Oh damn...laughted so hard at this, I snorted a swallow of my coffee...
Just for the record..yes I still
At 52, I still do everything I did at 22...just takes me a tad bit longer!
This was entertaining, very humorous and nicely written.

Well done! Got a lot of truth to it, too. We all used to "wonder" til we get there . . . & then we wonder why we wondered such a silly thing!! Of COURSE. And though I'm not there yet (3 yrs shy) my husband is beyond that, & my parents are certainly beyond that & . . . well, well, such a silly thing to question!! : >

Hubby is over fifty but I'm still a spring chicken - for a couple more years, at least -lol! Glad I've still got good things to look forward to...especially that "talking" part:-) Great poem!

Once the kids are really, finally and totally out of the house, you start seeing in each other what you saw when you were dating.

All about time I think.
Time to take time and time to love the one you love.

And maybe even time for a few words.
But not too many. . . .

Great little poem by the way.

Lynn, you're getting lucky at talking to your husband? Oh, well, guess that's something. Seriously, I loved the poem. But I tell you you're still a baby at 50. Now go eat your pablum.
