Undone again.
It comes on slowly,
Dawning, seeping in.
The reality that
Are leaving.

Undone again.
Truth has claws,
Kept sharp.
How else to guarantee
The scars?

Undone again.
Used up,
Alas, redundant.

This is from that dark place we all have.. not a reflection of today. (I know how some of you worry.. thank you.)

Here's a version of one of my favourite quotes:
"I write poetry
To see myself, to set the darkness echoing...." (Seamus Heaney, 'Personal Helicon')
Now, getting to your poem, Katy: You have shown here a great talent to confront your personal demons -even though they have been "disinfected". Your use of images and the brevity of your expression (aka lack of loquacity) enveloped in a muted tone of darkness is impressive and has resulted in a fine poem. Most citizens of the world will be able to relate to it because of its universality of theme. Good work, Katy.

Yes, Katydid, we all have dark places. The trick is not to let them overflow. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I hope everything is all right with you. The second verse was especially lovely.
