I listened as, the little birds sang
while nestled in the trees above
as they patiently waited to be fed
feeling secured in their mothers love

High above branches full of leaves
snuggled together in their nest
not worried at all that they would fall
for they had a safe place to rest

Can you imagine their little beaks open
pointing up toward the sky
then not for long, food was given
by their father who dropped it by

Now seeing this brought me comfort
in knowing we too have a place to rest
for God spreads his wings, as like the trees
to shelter us while going through a test

He promised to supply our every need
so why should we worry or ever doubt
for he said are we, not better than them
now be patient, and he will bring us out

No wonder the birds were singing
for our heavenly father proved his love
and we too can rejoice in knowing that
he heard our cries from heaven above

I once saw a family of robin and it was the mother bird who went to find food, the father bird just stood and watch the children.

Nevertheless, this poem is a good reminder of your faith for God and the land He has promised us. Good inspirational piece!
