A Thought for Mother's Day

How happy is the man who finds
A wife above all price,
Preparing for her family's needs
Proves no small sacrifice.
Yet while it's night she rises, and

Makes clothes that she can sell,
Opens her hands to help the poor ~
The needy know her well.
Her husband's known within the gates,
Elders give him his due,
Respecting him in all her ways ~
She's earned his heart's trust, too!

Deceitful is the way of charm
And beauty doesn't last,
Yet women who revere the Lord ~

...their joy shall be steadfast!

--Connie

Based on Proverbs 31:10-31
