I can see from your pretty face
That you're not impressed by what you see,
I can tell what you intend to do
You want to turn and walk away from me.
Just like every other person
You're turning your back on a true romance,
Because of what is outside
You don't want to risk giving me a chance.
I know that I am no model
I know I am no beauty to rest your eyes upon,
But if you think that's all of me
Then you are so horribly mistaken and wrong.
Hidden inside this body
Is a personality worth getting to know,
And if you only took the time
Then you would not want to let me go.
Inside of me is a heart of gold
That would never dream of causing pain,
And if you only looked deeper
Then you would never suffer once again.
Deep down is a trusting soul
That has love for every single one,
And if you only noticed it
Then your days of longing would be done.
But you're like everyone else
You don't know the real solution,
You're too blinded by vanity
And it fills you with confusion.
But I know the answer
Over time I've learnt what's right,
I've learned love is blind
And nothing should be judged by sight.
If only you looked deeper
Into my eyes and through to my mind,
I think that you would stop
And wonder over what you would find.
If only you gave me a chance
To show you the person that I tend to hide,
Then I think you would find love
With the girls that is there inside.

|Wow. And you speak for a lot of us women/ladies/girls. Fantastic way of expressing it. You've so much potential as a writer. I'd love to see you doing some type of older style like ABCB BCDC GHGH, etc. You'd be quite good at it I reckon! If you have to tell someone how good you are, it's never worth it. For it's their loss and their own suffering they will go through once they see what you blosom to be when someone just takes time to water the garden ;)
